Three weeks in and I'm still doing grand. Occasionally I'd like a piece of chocolate but I no longer feel like I MUST have chocolate or DIE. I think this is the first time in my life where I can walk away from sweets without a voice inside whimpering and whining.
It has been getting really hot in the afternoons so Munchkin and I try and play outside during the morning. Today we had breakfast out on the deck: fresh fruit and chicken. Afterwards we drew in chalk and raced around the yard giggling wildly. I set up the sprinklers to give the grass and bulb beds a drink before we finally went inside.
While I organized the hundreds of photos from May-July (why do I always wait till there are a ton before I put them away?!) Munchkin colored and we rocked out to the radio. Its hilarious watching Munchkin head-bang to Ozzie.
While she finished up her last drawing I threw together a lunch of green beans sauteed in ghee, roast chicken, leftover tuna cakes, and fresh tomato slices. I probably made too much because my belly was way full.
While Munchkin crashed for her afternoon nap I finished organizing pics and uploading them to the grandparents before raiding the garden for supper veggies. Hubby gave me a brand new stainless steel fry pan and I couldn't wait to try it out. I cooked up some bacon and sauteed fresh bok choy in the grease for supper and boy were they tasty. The pan was lovely; it is my first stainless steel pan and will take some getting used to but I love how nicely everything cooked and how easily the pan cleaned up.
Tomorrow we head into town for doc appointments and maybe a quick stop at the kitchen store for new spoons and flippers to go with the new pan.
